The MKO, Fan club of Saudi Arabia (Mojahedin Khalq, MEK, Rajavi cult)

While the Islamic republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia are at a high level of tensions that may end to a war, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) cannot conceal its pleasure of a disturbed relationship between Iran and its neighbors.

Once, the MKO leader Massoud Rajavi took a lot of advantages from the war between Iran and Iraq although he lost his least support among the Iranian public due to siding with their aggressive enemy. However, the MKO leaders have no way out except resorting to the old tool which is siding with the enemy of Iranian nation.

Having been disappointed with the nuclear deal, and therefore, a normalized Iran-West relationship, they were lying in ambush for another troubled Iranian relations with foreign countries. The disaster of Mina gave them the opportunity.

The group’s propaganda media garner their headlines with sponsorship for Saudi Arabia. In case of the heartbreaking tragedy of this year’s pilgrimage, the MKO leader and propaganda predictably disregarded the loss of a large number of their country-men, instead they played the part of attorney of the Saudis. Maryam Rajavi usually sends message of condolences for the least earthquake that shakes Iran –even if there is no death casualty—and always put the fault of casualties of the quake on the Iranian Government’s mismanagement but she never offers sympathy to the large number of survivors of the Mina disaster that was the direct result of mismanagement of the government of Saudi Arabia that is supposed to manage the most important annual event of the world of Islam.

The MKO’s propaganda covers the clashes in Yemen as if Islamic Republic is bombing civilians rather than Saudi Arabia! Yemen has turned into a humanitarian disaster, where thousands of bombs are being dropped, 1.5 million people are displaced and more than 90% of the population is in need of assistance, according to the Guardian. The Guardian views Yemen’s crisis as “the forgotten war”. But why the Western media forget it because “the US is one of the primary causes of the problem”. This reason is exactly true for the MKO media because Saudi Arabia is one of their military and financial sponsors as well as the US and Israel.

The West is actively assisting the Saudi monarchy while the country indiscriminately kills thousands of civilians in Yemen in what amounts to war crimes by almost anyone’s definition. To obey its western masters and to flatter its main sponsor in the region the MKO turns blind eye to the most horrific atrocities against humanity. However, it claims to advocate human rights and democracy for the Iranian people.

What counts for the MKO to make allies, is only money. As far as the group is financially supported by Saudis, the MKO media serves as their “fan Club”. This is one of many accounts of the Saudi’s sponsorship for the MKO that Press TV reported:

“A Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization defector says the terrorist group receives funding from Saudi Arabia and Israel, emphasizing MKO’s role in the suppression and massacre of Iraqis under the former Baath regime. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ashraf News website in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Saturday, Maryam Sanjabi said there is evidence about the relations and cooperation between the MKO and the Saudi kingdom. She added that the group has used the tactic of establishing relations with Jordanian lawmakers in order to expand their activities in Jordan with the help of Riyadh. She also called on the remaining MKO members in camp Liberty in Iraq to think rationally and take advantage of the Iraqi government and UN decisions about their re-settlement in another country. MKO members have now a better chance of escaping in the wake of their transfer from Camp New Iraq, formerly known as Camp Ashraf, situated about 120 kilometers (74 miles) west of the border with Iran, to the Camp Liberty, the former MKO leadership council member said. The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up its camp near the Iranian border. The organization is known to have cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq and carrying out the massacre of Iraqi Kurds. The group has also carried out numerous acts of violence against Iranian civilians and government officials.”

زهره قائمی فرمانده ترور صیاد شیرازیThe MeK – Washington’s Favourite Communist Terrorist Cult

The MEK is trying to get support in the West for its fundamental aim of opposing Iran. The MEK wants to be used in the forefront of anti-Iran activity. As usual, the organisation – which still has around two thousand members inside Iraq in Camp Liberty near Baghdad airport – has announces its political platform during the annual ceremony which took place a week ago in the French capital Paris.

The MEK’s endeavours are not straightforward or easy because the main protagonists in this scenario, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, are busy with complex negotiations in connection with Iran’s nuclear power programme and signals indicate the two sides are near to agreement of a final formula.

In this respect, the MEK is racing against time to rally American parties to oppose the agreement, particularly a bipartisan group led by Newt Gringrich.

In a letter to President Obama and candidates for the presidency, Gingrich along with 38 political and military personalities including French politician Bernard Kouchner, explained their vision of an American strategy in dealing with various issues in the Middle East. The letter stressed that the way to combat these problems in their opinion, is to recognise that insecurity and instability in the region is caused by Iran.

This indicates that some in the West are being encouraged to revive the MEK and place it at the front of political developments, perhaps in anticipation that the US-Iran part of the negotiations fail.

It is noteworthy that the Democratic candidate for the US presidency, Hillary Clinton, has succeeded in persuading Albania to accept a few hundred MEK members on humanitarian grounds on condition that the US received 28 members. The number of MEK in Albania could rise to five hundred. But informed sources in the French capital said that Albania is on the verge of a political storm because the MEK has bought land and property in Tirana and the government there fears the MEK will create a camp similar to the former Camp Ashraf in Iraq. This would be a base for military training and planning and preparation for terrorist operations in Iran and abroad according to what is required.

Head of the Iraqi Centre for Media Development, Adnan al-Sarraj

In an interview published by Alsabah Aljadid newspaper, Adnan al-Sarraj, Head of the Iraqi Centre for Media Development, said:

There are many terrorist organisations which seek to destabilise Iraq and undermine the will of its people. In particular, soon after the emergence of the Daesh terrorist gang, the Mojahedin Khalq announced it would join forces with Daesh and support it directly and indirectly. The MEK committed many crimes under the Baath Party’s rule and used despicable and dirty methods against the Iraqi people. It is trying today, through alliance with Daesh, to implement a number of actions which will destabilise the security situation of Iraq and stir up sectarian strife between various groups in Iraq.

… Daesh is looking for ways to expand its hostile influence on Iraq through secret and public alliance with others whose aim is to implement the destruction and divisions caused by terrorism using the most heinous crimes and the dirtiest bloody and brutal tactics against the whole of Iraq. In this respect it is not surprising that the terrorist MEK is the single most important of these groups since both groups share the same evil goal which is the destruction of Iraq and the integrity of the country, without caring what will follow such tactics or about the humanitarian rights of the people or any bloodshed caused by such an assault.

Rajavi’s lobbyists demand Mojahedin Khalq terrorist cult in Iraq be re-armed rather than removed

Rajavi’s lobbyists demand Mojahedin Khalq terrorist cult in Iraq be re-armed rather than removed

It is surely ironic that the same bunch of people who lobbied hard and at great expense to have the Mojahedin Khalq terrorist cult removed from European and American terrorist lists (the flimsy claim they had renounced terrorism was only possible because in 2003 the US army captured, disarmed and confined them to a single camp in Iraq), is now lobbying to have them re-armed.

Whether delusional or corrupt, this gang – listed below and now posing as the International Committee in Search of Justice (ISJ) – says the residents of Camp Liberty should have their “personal protection weapons returned to them for self-defence following serious threats and attacks [sic] as the Iranian regime’s intervention in Iraq grows”. But has neglected to inform their English speaking audience that the MEK leader, Massoud Rajavi, has demanded the MEK be re-armed with heavy weapons as well as small arms.

In any case, anyone who knows anything about the situation of Camp Liberty knows that the residents are deliberately imprisoned incommunicado inside the camp by the MEK leaders, that the greatest danger these residents face is from these MEK leaders, and that small arms are wanted in order to impose greater control over these captives as they become more and more desperate to escape the tyranny of the cult.

The ISJ statement should certainly not be read without context: Since attaining sovereignty in 2009, each successive government of Iraq has designated the MEK as a terrorist entity which must, under the Constitution, be entirely removed from Iraqi territory. The demand for re-arming rather than removing this group is doubly insulting for a country still swarming with Western spawned terrorist groups.

Perhaps the most ironic ‘complaint’ of the Committee is that the government of Iraq is not investigating the September 1, 2013 attack on Camp Ashraf in which fifty three people died. How is this possible when forty two key eye witnesses – survivors of the attack – have been incarcerated by the MEK inside Camp Liberty so that no investigator in the world has access to them?

Instead of demanding the MEK be re-armed ready to utilize violence again – the raison d’etre of the terrorist cult – this gang should be demanding from Massoud and Maryam Rajavi that each resident of Camp Liberty be given the opportunity to make contact with their families in privacy and to freely leave the camp if they desire. Then we would see how quickly and efficiently these people can be resettled.
