Shahab’s family several times traveled to Iraq to visit their beloved son, however the MKO Cult leaders denied to let them meet Shahab.

The Forouzandeh family staged rally in front of MKO Camp Ashraf along with other family members, yet the Cult leaders deprived them of their certain right which was to be able to meet their family members taken as hostages in MKO Camps.

After years of efforts by the US, UNAMI as well as the Iraqi government the Mujahedin-e Khalq removed from Iraq and took refuge in Albania.

Foreign Ministry of Australia

With respect,

We are members of the Iranpour family. We are an ordinary middle class family living in Shiraz in Iran.

We would like to bring to your attention that two of our brothers Mr Ahmadreza Iranpour and Mr Mohammadreza Iranpour left our country at the end of 2002 and went to Turkey. They were intending to go to Europe to build a better future for themselves. In Turkey however they were spotted by the Mojahedin Khalq smugglers and fell into their trap. These smugglers falsely promised to get them residency in Germany but instead took them to Iraq. They then sold them to the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (MKO) as slaves. We were unaware of their whereabouts until 2003 when someone who had managed to run away from Camp Ashraf (Mojahedin Khalq terror camp given to them by Saddam Hussain) found out that our children are being kept captive at this place. From that day until now we have travelled to Iraq over 10 times hoping to see our captive family members. But this notorious terrorist violent group did not let us even have a simple visit with our loved ones. It is now clear that this organisation has changed deeply and is now a classic cult which does not allow the people trapped inside to have any contact with the outside world.

Our brothers Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza are no exception and are currently kept as slaves, in the dark, with no access to the outside world or access to the media or even their immediate family. They are constantly bombarded by all possible brainwashing tactics and techniques. These trapped members are not allowed to have access to telephone, mobile, internet, newspaper … etc. and have turned into weak and mentally unstable people who cannot decide for themselves any more. The Mojahedin Khalq did not let us even see or visit our loved ones as they are worried that a hint of the outside world could bring back all their human feelings. That is why they do not let us or other family members have access to their children. We are not the only ones, many others have been taken by the MKO and now have no way out.

We would also like to add that this terrorist cult has been engaged in many terror and suicide operations in our country Iran. They are responsible for the death of tens of thousands of civilian people. We have witnessed their brutality in our city, Shiraz, first hand. There was a man living in our area who had a shop making frames. He did not have any position or relation with the government but they assassinated him simply because he was religious and looked religious. We have also witnessed the burning of busses by the Mojahedin Khalq operatives in our city in which women and children were burned to death. The father of one of our friends had a shop. He too was killed simply because he was a religious man. There are more examples within the area where we live in Shiraz and you can find information and statistics about many similar atrocities simply searching the internet.

We are one of the families who have two children taken away from us who are currently captive in the hands of this notorious cult. Our knowledge of this cult comes from first-hand experience. We would like to inform your good self about the truth after which the judgment will be yours.

With the hope for the freedom of all the trapped people in this violent cult and hope for peace and friendship.

Yours

Letter from 41 members of families of prisoners in Rajavi cult in Iraq, to the head of the High Commissioner for Refugees

Dear Mr. Filippo Grandi, High Commissioner for Refugees.

کمیساریای عالی پناهندگی سازمان ملل متحدWe are a group of families who have come to Iraq in the hope of visiting our loved ones who are incarcerated in Camp Liberty. From 23rd to 26th of May 2016 we have presented ourselves four times at the gates of the Mojahedin Khalq’s camp (Liberty) bringing flowers and sweets and presents including tokens of our country’s soil. We have come in good faith and with clean hearts, without any feelings of hostility or even criticism against the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, NCRI …). Our only hope has been to meet with our family members. But the cult minders and guards not only did not show any friendly gesture or regard for our simple demands, instead they crushed our presents (the soil of our county which is obviously precious for us) under their boots, destroyed and burned the flowers and gifts we brought. On 26th May 2016 they increased their hostile activities and, adding to the usual swearing and insults, they started attacking us physically, injuring some.

I would like to bring to your attention some parts of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights UDHR):

“Article 13.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.

And:

Article 16.

(…)

(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.”

Link to UDHR
http://www.un.org/en/universal-declaration-human-rights/index.html

Your colleagues from the UNHCR attended the scene shortly after we were attacked by the Mojahedin Khalq (MKO) and witnessed the situation. There are also photos and video clips which can be presented as evidence. All the families involved in this event are, of course, ready to give evidence about what happened.

Our question is why your good self and your organisation which clearly witnessed the injustice and the abuse of our human rights in front of the gates of Camp Liberty are silent and why is it that you do not wish to act to restore our rights?

How do you explain your double standards to the on looking international community?

We don’t have any demand but just a simple one. We demand the right to visit our children. Why is it that your do not engage to restore this simple human right which has been abused for long enough right in front of you?

We urge your good self to take notice of our basic, legal, humanitarian demand.

The Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, ….) claim that we are “agents of the intelligence ministry of Iran” and not the families of the people trapped inside camp Liberty. The Mojahedin Khalq have long used this excuse to prevent us from visiting our loved ones. To take away this ridiculous excuse we would now like to ask you and your organisation (UNHCR) to take charge of our trips to Iraq and arrange simple and basic meetings with our loved ones outside the confines of Camp Liberty and without the presence of Mojahedin Khalq minders and commanders. We are of course ready to bear the expenses but we need this trip to Iraq to be under your supervision and command. Our country is a member of United Nations and pays its yearly dues accordingly. It is part of your duty to give us an official answer.

We now wait for your reply.

Iran,

22June 2016

Open Letter of 127 from Human Rights activists to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon

We condemn the unprovoked attack on the families by the leaders of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (MKO, MEK, Rajavi cult)

Dear Secretary General,

We, a group of human rights activists, strongly condemn the attack by the leaders and commanders of the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (aka MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult), on the elderly fathers and mothers and other family members who had been gathering outside the gates of transit camp Liberty (aka Camp Hurriyeh) in Iraq.

On Thursday May 26, 2016 the fifth group of families of the hostages kept by the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (Rajavi cult) gathered outside the gates of Camp Liberty. Their only demand has been to visit their loved ones. Some have not seen them for over 20 to 30 years.

Dear Secretary General,

One of the basic rights of any prisoner or prisoner of war is to be allowed to contact his/her family and have visits, exchange photos and letters. But Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi have denied this basic right from the hostages held by their Mojahedin Khalq Organisation for a long time.

The question is this. Why, 13 years after the change of government of Iraq, do the families still have no right to visit their loved ones? A further question is this. Who is responsible? And. Who is answerable?

On the above date (last Thursday), Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi ordered the commanders and leaders of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation in Camp Liberty to attack the picket of families outside the gates and brutally beat them. As a result, some of the elderly fathers and mothers have been injured.

Dear Secretary General,

As Human Rights activists, we strongly condemn the beating of the elderly mothers and fathers whose only demand has been to visit their loved ones kept in the camp. We urge you to investigate this criminal act and bring the perpetrators to a court of law and prosecute them according to the relevant international laws.

Suffering parents of Mojahedin Khalq ( Rajavi cult, MKO, MEK, …) hostages in front of Camp Liberty

A number of families of residents of Camp Liberty picketed in front of the camp advocating the release of their loved ones taken as hostages by the leaders of the Mujahedin Khalq.

48 people including families of Ashraf residents traveled to Baghdad , Iraq from Fars, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Kermanshah, Qazvin and Tehran on Saturday May21st, 2016. They went to gate of Camp Liberty the next morning and launched their campaign to call on their loved ones in the Camp who have had no contact with them for years now. The families have had no information on the physical and mental conditions of their children since they were recruited by the MKO. The group has kept members in isolation under a sever manipulation system.

خانواده های گروگانهای رجوی مجاهدین خلق در کمپ لیبرتی

Suffering parents, brothers and sisters of the MKO members have one main demand; a free visit with their beloved ones. However, families were faced with harsh behavior of the guards of the camp who had covered their faces. They were filming families carrying cameras while insulting them from time to time.

But families offered them, flowers and candies and told them about their real request which was getting some information about their loved ones but an MKO guard hit the candy container and offended them.

خانواده های گروگانهای رجوی در کمپ لیبرتی 22 می 2016

Nevertheless, picketing people kept calm and repeated their demand. A grieving brother tried to give them some photos of former members who previously left the group — to encourage them to leave the camp– but the guard threw back the photos torn!

خانواده های گروگانهای رجوی مجاهدین خلق در کمپ لیبرتی

On the other side of the walls and curtains some residents of the camp were seen from a narrow split between the wall and curtain. They looked sad and depressed regretting the free world. Eventually the split was covered by a cloth.

This is the fifth time that families of MKO hostages go to the gate of Camp Liberty and they do not succeed to visit their beloveds. Although, they know that the MKO leaders will not allow them to see their children, they repeat their campaign because no other way is left for them.

Unfortunately, Rajavi still has an absolute rule over his members exploiting and abusing them and there are still authorities who ignore the sever violation of human rights that takes place in the cult-like MKO under the rule of Massoud Rajavi.

کمیساریای عالی پناهندگی سازمان ملل متحدSahar Family Foundation in Baghdad sent a letter to Mr. Filippo Grandi, the new UN High Commissioner for Refugees, simultaneous to the presence of the families in front of the gates of Camp Liberty in Iraq.

The text of the letter is as follows:

Mr. Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees – Geneva

With respect, we wish to let you know that after 12 years since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, and continuous focus on relocating the members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization from Iraq during this period, there are still more than two thirds of the members living in insecure conditions in Iraq.

The anguished families of the members would like to know what the obstacles are which stand in the way of relocating them to places of safety and then to third countries. The families would also like to know exactly why they are denied visits with their loved ones which is their very natural and basic right.

We are awaiting your kind response.

Over 40 families of Rajavi’s hostages in Camp Liberty ask Ban Ki-moon help

United Nations Secretary –General!

Dear Mr. Ban Ki-moon!

In the present modern world and specially in the world that the people care for their relief and security, the assassination and slavery are not of any meanings and without doubt the persons who proceed to the mentioned actions are far from the world liberal people eyes and live in isolation, as DAISH the Excommunicating-Terrorist Group, has made insecurities all over the world at present and it’s a model of all criminal factions.

United Nations Secretary –General!

MKO (Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization) is one of the terrorist groups, maybe more dangerous than it, that captured some of Iranian family offspring over 30 years and makes them for terrorist actions.

Hereby we remind you of some criminals of the terrorist faction heads (MKO):

1.Assassination and terrorism before Islamic Revolution such as assassination of some American advisors and top management.

2.Partnership in 8-year imposed war, together with Saddam and slaying of Iranian border zone people.

3.Killing of in-camp members such as Ghorban Torabi, Alan Mohammadi , Parviz ahmadi, Mehri Mousavi, Alinagi Haddadi & etc .

4.In-camp torture of the members and the prisoners in Ashraf camp and now in Liberty camp.

5.Intense brainwashing of Iranian family offspring for doing criminal actions.

6.To make restraint of relocation and movement of the organization members to the third country.

Mr. Ban Ki-moon!

Hereby we, injured families of the faction members in Golestan Province- Iran, request you to fulfill releasing and rescuing of our offspring from MKO perfidious commanders hands. As to insecurities in Iraq, for instance in some weeks ago its proved by missile attacks to Liberty camp, whereas the guilt was on MKO heads shoulders that fail to movement of the members and the prisoners to the other countries, and now our offspring, as to some severe threats by some Iraqi militia groups, are on dangerous and unsecure positions and situations, we powerlessly request you and other Union advisors to take measures about movement and repositioning of the prisoners and left them frees in their lives, including communication with the outside world and their families in the shortest time after decades away and unaware from them.

B. Regards

Dear Senior Officials: Zeid Raad Zeid al-Hussein

In the current world that the people live with developed modern technologies, maybe few of them know that there are some other people in the corner of the world that captured deceitfully with trick and trap by some other ones who misuse them like devices for achievement of their own unclean and unattainable goals.

Dear Officials,

Rajavi terrorist faction is a group that gathered together its members during over 30 years with whiles and lying, keeps a tight grip on the members, keeps them far away from the first human rights, keeps their spirits and bodies by false story and use them for harsh terrorist actions.

Rajavi terrorist group heads, during the years that its members are away from the society and liberty, have not permitted any meeting between the parents and their offspring and they kept them (the MKO members) in isolation and stranglehold but no International Institute researches about the mentioned conditions that it is unbelievable

Masood Rajavi, as the head commander of the group, has created a great deal of trouble in the members families and its main reason is his “Ideological Revolutions” and no doubt he set it up for his fatal objectives as non of the unprincipled conducts are justifiable and useful for the human beings originality.

Rajavi faction heads, by effectiveness of their criminal commander, encounter with the prisoners like so and put them in trouble and capture them whether in Liberty camp or Republic of Albania then banish them from their families , the families that are fireside for the members, and use of them as a bridge for achieving to their own meaningless goals.

Now I request you, as you are liberal human beings law agents, to find a way for the families to meet their offspring and rescue us from the pains and sufferings.

Best Regards

Mohammad Aghatabai, brother of the prisoner “Hamid-Mohammad Aghatabai” in MKO.

To U.S. Secretary of State -John Kerry

Dear John Kerry,

All human beings try to make a use of at least liberty and option and teach them to the other society members for having the good livings with each others.

Mr. Kerry,

Your State along with the other governments try to make the human beings as liberal thinkers and teach them the true living ways, But in the heart of the open world, there are some people that don’t care of the human rights and try to overwhelm the human munificence and feelings by using of new model of slavery and no doubt their Head commander , Massoud Rajavi proved it by killing of your State advisors from the beginning of our country revolution.

Secretary Kerry,

My offspring unwillingly has been taken captive by the terrorist faction over 30 years and I could not see him – in spite of all our followings of Union Organizations- because the faction (MKO) commanders have not permitted such meetings, so I don’t have any news about his conditions and because of that I request you as the US. Secretary of State to set and take measures about the meeting between me and my offspring and make a field for my offspring – that don’t use of the lowest human rights- to have the same rights with the other liberals.

I hope comes a day that the Liberty camp doors open with your cooperation for meeting between the families with their offspring captured by Rajavi faction commanders and hope that the MKO members and the prisoners have the same human rights in presence of Red Cross and Refugee Committee agents .

B. Regards

Mohammad Aghatabai, brother of the prisoner “Hamid-Mohammad Aghatabai” in MKO.

To the High Commissioner of the UNHCR

I am Mahnaz Akafian, the mother of Mohammad Ali Sasani, who was a prisoner of war in Iraq but he is now prisoner in MKO in Iraq.

I have not had any news from my son for 28 years. Some time ago I went to Ashraf Camp and more recently I went to Liberty Camp in Iraq to find him. Unfortunately, I did not get any result. I do not know if humans have different rights. I ask you a question as a human rights representative. If a person is in prison and is condemned to death, do they have the rights to have contact with and see their family members? We ask from the MKO that we see our children. Even if we are guilty of all the sins they accuse us of, why shouldn’t we be allowed us to see our children? So many fathers and mothers were not allowed to see their children and they died. With this weak body of mine I ask, let us meet our son!

Kind regards,

Mahnaz Akafian, a mother

Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, Rajavi cult)  imprisoned us and didn’t let us meet our brothers

UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Baghdad

Dear Sir,

I, Mahmonir Iranpour, am writing to you about my brothers, Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza Iranpour, who left Iran aiming to reach Turkey and then Canada or one of the European countries in December 2002 hoping to create a better future there. Unfortunately, on their way to Europe, in Turkey, they were caught by People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MKO) and then were taken to Camp Ashraf. For a long time, we were totally unaware of them until we were informed about their condition through those who had managed to flee from Camp Ashraf. Finally, for the first time, in January 2004, we went to Iraq and Camp Ashraf and succeeded in meeting them. However, we were not allowed to visit them privately in such a way that about 20 MKO members accompanied us stopping us from contacting them personally and privately. Also, they told us that we could stay there for some nights providing no other family members were with us. Afterwards, in March 2004, we revisited Camp Ashraf with three other families. This time, not only didn’t they let us meet our brothers, but they also imprisoned and investigated us. Although a number of children and elderly people were accompanying us, they deprived us of any food for a night and then in the morning they beat and expelled us from Camp Ashraf. Afterwards, we wrote to an American commander, who was there, and sued them for what they did to us. Also, after returning back to Iran, we wrote to Human Rights Watch and complained about what they had done. At the same time when Human Rights Watch was addressing our proceedings and they were condemned, we received an Email inviting us to Camp Ashraf in November 2004 saying that this time we would be allowed to meet them provided that we were alone and no family accompany us. Having been unaware of the situation that they had been investigated by Human Rights Watch for what they had done, we went to Camp Ashraf being incognizant of their conspiracy. We and my brothers, who were dressed up formally, stayed there and were filmed. After returning to Iran, we had a telephone contact with Human Rights Watch representative in London named Doroodi, who told us that we lay and that we both had met our brothers and had taken photographs with them in Camp Ashraf. They deceived us by taking photos pretending that we had met our brothers using these photos against us in Human Rights Watch proceedings. Now, according to your sound judgment, are they liars and fraudulent or us??

Why were deprived of meeting with our dear ones while it is a basis right and one of the elements of human rights? Our brothers are kept in Camp Liberty which is a very small place surrounded by barbed wire and concrete walls. They are physically and mentally trapped by Rajavi sect. you know that you are sometimes attacked by these people. We fear that our brothers may get hurt and we are for a long time unaware of their condition. I hereby should remind you of binding protocols approved in United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees committee as regards the fact that refugees are entitled to choose their destination, education, contact with their relatives. Here is the question, why we are deprived of these rights and why this commissioner, as protector of refugees’ and our rights, evade their duty and deprive us of our basic rights?

I have repetitively asked for visiting both through Email or telephone contact. But, every time what I receive says that MKO members don’t allow any chance of visiting our brothers. Here is the question, generally wherever a group of people are under control of a commissioner, they should abide by the commissioner orders. Your responses in this regard are not acceptable. Unfortunately, it seems that instead of employing international regulations as regards defending refugees’ and their families’ rights, the commissioner acts against United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees committee decisions which is detrimental to those imprisoned in Camp Liberty. It is our right to meet our brothers and we expect you to defend this right, not to deprive us of it.

Finally, I suggest that you read protocols approved by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees committee. Also, since I see myself entitled to these rights, I ask you to provide me with an opportunity to be able to meet my brothers.

Truly yours,

Mahmonir Iranpour, sister of Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza Iranpour, who are kept in Camp Ashraf
