Assassination of MEK Critics encouraged on Albanian based TV (Iran Interlink Weekly Digest – May 29, 2020)Iran Interlink, May 30 2020:… MEK leaders this week used the MEK’s TV programme to officially announce that ‘the assassination of families and critics is a duty wherever possible’. In this programme Parviz Khazaei – Rajavi’s NCRI representative in Scandinavia who had been a diplomat in the Iranian embassy at the time of the Shah, and later worked for the IRI as a diplomat at start of the Revolution before joining with the MEK and who is of notoriously immoral character – sat alongside Abol Qassem Rezai – aka Mohsen Rezai, one of Maryam Rajavi’s deputies infamous for torturing dissenters in Iraq. These two joined together talking about the families, specifically their demand to visit their loved ones in Albania. Assassination of MEK Critics encouraged on Albanian based TV .

MEK Parviz S. KhazaiAn ethnic Iranian resident in Norway named Parviz S. Khazai, echoing Behzad Saffari’s allegations, has labeled journalist Gjergji Thanasi a lowly Iranian spy engaged in espionage activities against the Iranian People’s Mojahedin (MEK). He has sent a letter of protest to the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Norway, Joran Kallmyr, attacking Thanasi and Norwegian journalist Eskil Engdal of the Dagens Naeringsvil newspaper.

Assassination of MEK Critics encouraged on Albanian based TV (Iran Interlink Weekly Digest – May 29, 2020)++ MEK leaders this week used the MEK’s TV programme to officially announce that ‘the assassination of families and critics is a duty wherever possible’. Khazaei related an incident in Norway during WW2 in which a Norwegian man assassinated a traitor and then gave himself up, saying ‘I killed someone and now you can kill me’. During his trial instead of condemning him, the court praised him for killing a traitor. Khazaei said there is no difference between that traitor and those who have left MEK or the NCRI. They are traitors and should be executed the same way. Rezai praised Khazaei on behalf of himself, Rajavi and everybody else for clarifying the situation. They then both explicitly named Ismael Vafa Yaghmai as a specific target for assassination. In response, Arya Association in France published the video with an explanation of what was actually being said along with the demand that European governments have to do something about this. MEK inside Albania went into overdrive on their sites saying, ‘yes we will do this, and nobody can touch us and if they do, so what!’ Farsi commentators warn that the chickens have come home to roost. The MEK have done this before and when they get desperate, they start killing people to change the atmosphere. They have done this in Iraq and Europe before and they will do it again if they are not prevented.

++ Ebrahim Khodabandeh from Nejat has published the third of his reports on the MEK families’ petition and the reactions of the MEK. According to him, this petition has caused chaos inside MEK. Many of MEK’s supporters say that Rajavi’s fear of this petition has overtaken fear of the families themselves. Rajavi is reacting to this every day in a defensive panic, swearing and cursing. Commentators remark that this report is most probably true because Rajavi doesn’t react to anything unless he has to. From inside MEK, members are reporting that this overreaction has made it worse because if people didn’t know about this, this reaction has made sure everyone inside and outside the camp now knows about the petition. It is also reported that the members are happy the outside world remembers them. In private, a lot of MEK associates have been contacting Khodabandeh and thanking the families, Nejat Society and ex-members even though they are working with MEK and being paid by them. They say in private that this petition has made sure Rajavi has lost his greatest tool: deception. And this is a good thing.

In English:

++ Estranged families of MEK members who are trapped in the MEK camp in Albania have been making films appealing to their loved ones, offering their love and support. These are being published with English sub-titles. Other families have written supplementary letters and published documents about their loved ones, appealing to Albanian PM Edi Rama for help. The petition has attracted almost eleven thousand signatures, so the message is spreading far and wide. It is now up to Albania to respond.

++ A biography of Massoud Rajavi by Terror Spring paints a long unflattering portrait of a cowardly, devious, treacherous, opportunistic man using the words of those close to him. Make your own mind up.

++ An analytical article by Paolo de Donno in Italian outlet European Affairs titled ‘Criminals And Terrorists In Albania’ includes a section on the MEK. De Donno regards MEK as part of Albania’s extremism and terrorism problem: “From an ideological point of view, it is a synthesis of Marxism, feminism and Islamism, positions that have distanced the group from the ayatollahs and brought it closer to Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi regime. It had been blacklisted by the EU, US, Canada and Britain before being delisted by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during Obama’s first presidential term. Seen on the American side as the bearer of democracy and freedom in Iran and on the contrary side in Tehran as a terrorist organisation, it is certainly an extremely inconvenient tenant for Albania, especially in a context of multi-ethnicity such as the Balkan one. As reported in an article by Margherita Furlan in the magazine ‘Antimafia 2000’, the MEK is strongly supported by the American secret services: for what objective and with what tasks? Some Albanian political sources have suggested an exchange: since ‘the Americans gave us Kosovo, now we have to give them something in return’. Canadian-Albanian historian Olsi Jazexhi even suggested that ‘America wanted to turn Albania into a safe haven for international jihadism, a second Afghanistan in the heart of Europe’.”

++ Mehr News, reported Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on US foreign policy toward Iran. Mousavi said: “Given its dark history, the United States is by no means politically, legally, and morally qualified to judge other countries…  He went on to give examples of US crimes including imposing economic terrorism against 33 countries since 2017, supporting terrorist groups such as MKO and ISIL, backing drug cartels, supporting dictator and fascist regimes, and staging 79 coups across the world, among others.”

But pressure is growing both from the families and from the members inside the camp who are forced to be apart. Since their arrival in Albania, many MEK members have died suspiciously as well as through illnesses. But the Albanian authorities are not allowed to investigate. There are now reports that COVID-19 has been detected inside and still Albanian Health Ministry personnel are not allowed into the camp to undertake tests. Families and human rights activists are asking the Albanians to come clean and let there be access to this camp and to instigate investigations. ]

1- Mr. Miri Hosseini’s call for the release of his captive brother Hossein Hosseini after 32 years of captivity in the camps of Saddam Hussein and Massoud Rajavi

Nejat BloggersMay 28, 2020

The conscript Hossein Hosseini was captured by Saddam Hussein’s forces in 1988.

After enduring several years of captivity and torture in Saddam Hussein’s camps, he was handed over to the MEK garrison named Ashraf in Iraq.

Mr. Hossein Hosseini was finally transferred to the organization’s camp in Albania in September 2016 by the MEK. His family has not heard about his health condition during all these years.

Salaam Mir Hossein,

I have been waiting for you for 32 years. But I have not been able to get any news from you.

It is 32 years now that I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Our father and mother passed away suffering from your absence. Anytime in the family any two persons talked to each other ,our parents used to think that they are talking about you. And then they used to ask about you.

Father departed, mother departed, you are our only hope.

Give us a call or do something that we can come and see you.

We came to Iraq when you were there but we could not see you.

I pray to God that this clip reaches you….. Unfortunately Massoud and Maryam Rajavi call the families terrorists.

Every one knows that the families are not terrorists. Terrorists are those who deceive and capture the youth……

2- Fani’s brother’s letter to Albanian Prime Minister

Nejat BloggersMay 18, 2020

Mr. Edi Rama, the Albanian Prime Minister,

MEK Families in Albania

Mr. Abdossamad Fani

I am Abdossamad Fani, Najmeddin’s brother. My brother has been recruited by the MEK for 30 years and because of the pressures from the leaders of the group, we have not visited him during these entire years. This has left us with a terrible concern.

We have no information of my brother’s health condition. We ask your Excellency who are the host of MEK leaders in your country to coordinate with us providing us with an opportunity to meet my brother after years of separation.

We are looking forward for your humanitarian action.

Yours Truly,

Abdossamad Fani, Khuzestan, Iran
