The Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, a.k.a. MKO and PMOI) has a dreadful record of using women and girls as a tool to achieve its purposes. As a concrete example, the killing of two female members of the group in 2003 in Paris can be noted.
On June 17, 2003, French counter-intelligence forces stormed the MEK’s headquarters in Paris, seizing over $8 million in cash and detaining 159 people, including Maryam Rajavi, the group’s ringleader.
Following the arrest, a number of brainwashed members of the group were forced to set themselves on fire in public. MEK members mobilized throughout Europe in order to hold demonstrations and then the victims carry out a series of forced self-immolations. The self-immolations had been staged publicly by 16 members of the group one after the other in Paris, Rome, Berne, London, Ottawa, Athens, and Nicosia.
Among the victims of the forced self-immolations, the names of three women stand out: Seddiqeh Mojaveri, 40, Neda Hassani, 26, and Marzieh Babakhani. The first two lost their lives and Babakhani was severely burned.
The poor women were used as a tool to pressure the French public opinion and legal system to free Maryam Rajavi. They may have been told that there was no cause to worry and the firemen would intervene to extinguish the fire soon after they set themselves ablaze. But they were duped and burned to death before the TV cameras to influence the court’s ruling. MEK leaders got their wish and the court, concerned that the immolations might be repeated, ordered Maryam Rajavi’s release on bail.
Following the awkward incident and the media reaction to it, the French officials highlighted various aspects and dimensions of the cult-like activities of the MEK. French Government spokesperson, Jean-Francois Cope, considered these self-immolations as “obviously, extremely dramatic”. He added, “Alas! It also tells us a great deal about the mindset of their leadership”.
The self-immolations were so unexpected for the French officials that they barred all the MEK gatherings “until further orders” and police banned the sale, transport and use of all inflammable products in certain parts of central Paris.
These are the women who are to be burned in the cult of MEK to save the life of the group’s leader and be used for further political leverage and to show their absolute loyalty to public opinion.

Brainwashing To Suicide Bombing . MEK Role Model For ISIS
Brainwashing member to achieve organisational goals
The Mojahedin Khalq Organization is a group from which ISIL and suicide attacks have emerged.
MEK is the first group to launch a suicide operation and calling themselves role models for terrorist groups, claiming that members of the organization sacrificed their lives for the organization without any expectations, and the leadership of this group sacrifices the lives of its members for their own desires.
Suicide operations are the least done by the members of the group, and in 1971, Ahmad Rezaei, one of the leaders of the organization, started the first suicide operation, during which 30 members of the organization were asked to sacrifice their lives and do this violent manner and end their lives.
MEK continued their bloody operations even after the revolution and assassinated the revolutionary figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but they wasted their lives in a dark and endless way.
MEK claimed human rights, but the lives of the members of the organization are too insignificant to them that they not only accepted responsibility for their suicide operations but also threatened to do so again.
Saleh Rajavi, Massoud Rajavi’s brother, says that: “when thousands of people are willing to sacrifice their lives for the organization and its goals, then let them call us terrorists, and how can thousands of people who sacrifice for the freedom of their people be called terrorists?”
Yes, when members are forced to obey the orders of the organization without any authority and by brainwashing, they are not able to make decisions. To the extent that they were given cyanide tablets so that they would not be arrested alive in operations so as not to disclose information about the organization.
In 2003, when Maryam Rajavi was arrested in France, a large number of people protested against her arrest, declaring that they were burning themselves, the Parisian newspaper wrote that: “Before and after the self-immolation, several reporters were contacted on their cell phones, and the foreign relation spokesperson announced them the name of the person who wanted to set himself on fire.”
Interestingly, after the self-immolation, one of the Mojahedin offers the reporter a better photo of the self-immolation, and the Mojahedin filmed and photographed these scenes and posted them on their site, but after a while, they removed them from the site page due to bad feedback.
The organization uses different names to impress itself in the public mind by deception, and this is the imposition of a lie on its audience, and the individual suffers from multiplicity in the mind.
MEK went so far that due to their unpopularity among the Iranian people and the opposition groups, announce themselves as representing the majority of the people to the point that they hired a number of foreigners to be presented at their annual conference and gave them the flag of MEK to show that their number of supporters is more than the reality.
Even regarding the self-immolation of individuals, two members of the organization, Mahmoud Alemi, and Hossein Amini Gholipour, encouraged individuals to carry out self-immolation operations.
The interesting thing is that out of the 10 people who set themselves on fire, three of them were members of the political branch not from the military branch that would be a definition of being a soldier that feels like it is his duty to burn himself.
In 1984, France deported a number of members to Gabon, where they went on a 40-day hunger strike until the French government had to return them.
What is very prominent among the MEK is the spirit of sectarianism, which is very outdated, and the Mojahedin even decided to carry out suicide operations because they do not care about the lives of the people and seek to do things that will make a noise in the world, they even decided to carry out suicide operations in Karbala and even trained the women of Camp Ashraf in Iraq to carry out suicide operations there.
A 2009 report stated that the MEK praised suicide and always carried cyanide tablets with a leather cover around their necks, and swallowed a pill immediately if caught on missions. Also Rajavi called all members of the organization living martyrs, and among all the actions they took, self-immolation was the most common type of suicide and self-immolation became a tool, and even when members of the organization were prevented from leaving, they set themselves on fire, and the cause of death of disobedient members who had been killed under torture was declared a suicide.
All this goes back to the tortures and brainwashing that were inflicted on members, otherwise who is willing to sacrifice his life, which is his most important and valuable asset, to achieve the worthless human desires of a man introduces himself as the leader of the group and a claimant of human rights.
One of the tortures was that members of the organization were locked in solitary confinement and given a leaflet declaring their support for Massoud Rajavi as the leader of the group, and the individual had to repeat these sentences to himself to never forget it. Can a cult that violated every kind of human rights call itself a democratic group?

MEK AND VIOLENCE – ANNIVERSARY OF 17 JUNE 2003

1) Paris police target Iranian groups
BBC News

French police have launched a massive raid in the Paris region on the Iranian opposition group, the People’s Mujahideen.More than 150 people are reported to have been arrested during the operation by 1,300 police officers, on the orders of the anti-terrorist judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere.
It follows a long running investigation into the activities of the People’s Mujahideen, a group which has in the past been declared a terrorist organisation by Iran, the United States and the European Union.
BBC correspondent Caroline Wyatt, in Paris, said police sources said the operation targeted some 150 people who they believe were “preparing to commit or finance acts of terrorism”.
French news agency AFP said police had arrested Maryam Rajavi, wife of the group’s leader, Massoud Rajavi.
She is seen by the People’s Mujahideen as the “future president of Iran”.
Conspiracy
Her brother, Saleh Rajavi, is also reported to have been arrested when police stormed the European headquarters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Iran’s main political opposition umbrella group.
A large quantity of money and computer equipment is also reported to have been seized in the raids in the Val d’Oise region north of Paris and in the Yvelines region to the west.
Spokesman for the People’s Mujahideen, Ali Safavi, told AFP the “allegations are absolutely preposterous”.
He said People’s Mujahideen personnel had been living in France for many years “and there has been no problem.
“Wherever they are, they are absolutely not involved in illegal activities in their host country.”
He accused France of “trying to curry favour with the Islamic government in Iran” and said the arrests were part of a “concerted conspiracy” between the two governments.
The EU declared the People’s Mujahideen a terrorist organisation in May last year, but this is the first time that the French authorities have moved to detain its members.

2) 17 June, an Autopsy of Violence and Terrorism
www.mojahedin.ws, June 20, 2007
Maryam Rajavi’s arrest and imprisonment in France on 17 June 2003, not talking of its prejudicial impact to her political character, made Mojahedin face a new challenge. The challenge was the outcome of an encounter of Western democracy and civility vis-à-vis the dominant social anarchism and wild adventurism in Mojahedin organization that attempted to forge legitimacy by comparing itself to one of the most prime anti-fascism resistances in the Europe.
Maryam Rajavi’s arrest and its aftermath gave the states and the public opinion the opportunity to see behind the pseudo-democratic face of Mojahedin. Accused of terrorist activities, association with a terrorist organization and financing terrorist operations, the French Police raided the office of MKO at Auvers-sur-Oise and arrested 164 suspected Mojahedin cadres as well as Maryam Rajavi. Immediately after the arrests, a number of the group’s insiders immolated themselves in public in a series of premeditated missions as leverages of pressure to buy Maryam Rajavi’s freedom. The human tragedy ended with two deaths; according to the group’s own reports, two women, Sediqeh Mojaveri and Neda Hassani died because of the self-immolation injuries. One more was paralyzed forever.
These acts of self-destruction reveal the covert violent mien of the group’s ideology which is brought to surface and fully practiced whenever the circumstances deem it right. It is not wrong to say that the acts of self-immolations imposed Mojahedin’s demands on the French judges and courts to take a moderate position to stop further agitation of the public opinion.
Violence is rebuked for its transparent contradiction with social and conventional codes. Utilization of violence for whatever objectives never justifies it as a theorized instrument practiced by opportunists to accomplish the ends. The practitioners of violence, whether from a potential military standpoint or frustrated political stance, resort to what is most regarded a reactionary approach. Legalization of violence terminates the rational ways of furthering dialogue to a democratic solution and its utilization as leverage of pressure, a threatening method, and even as a moving element to stir sympathy never justifies its application.
Appalling, sect-like self-immolations once more endorsed Mojahedin’s restoring to complexities of a cult. The ideology does not necessarily suggest application of violence against others since teachings of some cult decree self-destruction practices as the most influential approach. Overt practices of violence against other individuals spread psychological terror among a society while acts of self-destruction, besides spreading psychological terror, endanger emotional and social health. In other words, when someone consents to commit self-destruction in so appalling a way, no doubt he is capable of wiping out masses in cool-blood.
There are many instances of known cult decreed self or collective destructions. So impressed are the insiders by the violent approaches of a cult that they may volunteer to commit suicide before they receive orders to do so. Following the same cult codes, Mojahedin owns a prearranged, deliberate list of registrants volunteered for self-immolation wherever and whenever the organization deems it appropriate. Alireza Jafarzadeh, a Mojahedin’s media spokesman, in a letter published in one of Mojahedin’s newsletters, prior to his demands to be registered as a volunteer of self-burning, stated:
Truly, the ignorant have not fully made out the sharpness, shrewdness and decisiveness of a Mojahed Khalq element more because they have failed to acknowledge Massoud. They are too narrow minded to know what a storm Rajavi’s order might give rise to, and that this generation’s will might leave them in a dark world of absolute desperation. [1]
His words indicate that he is fully under the influence of the group’s non-peaceful teachings as a strategic approach. He does believe in what he is saying and the history of the organization approves him.
Mojahedin’s past history contains a broad practice of violence against the agents of Shah’s regime and, furthermore, against the working Americans in Iran in 1970s to prove they were on a right path of struggle; it is an aspect of its utilizing violence against others. Later on, during the mass trials of the members arrested by Shah’s security system SAVAK, the arrested members decided to commit self-destruction to stir sympathy among people. To achieve the goal, they decided to take a harsh attitude in their speeches made at court defense sessions to incite the military judges to deal harshly with the defendants. Their tactic of self-destruction worked well and most of the leading figures but Massoud Rajavi were executed by the regime. Talking of the method of self-destruction at the time, Massoud Rajavi said:
We had to do our outmost to be executed by Shah. Then, our movement overpowered the proceedings. He [Shah] had to give an answer and we could not let him evade. [2]
First, by utilizing an armed struggle strategy and then by throwing themselves before the fire squads, Mojahedin furthered an overall method of violence. They were thoroughly devoted to a ferocious style of struggle against Shah and nothing but death could stop the move. Hanifnezhad, one of the first founders of Mojahedin, received a life imprisonment by the Shah’s court but his colleagues in prison coerced him, and even threatened him of being given an organizationally decreed revolutionary execution, to move on a self-destruction path so the organization could condemn the regime of his death. He was put before the fire squad, however.
Mojahedin can never think of peaceful ways when seeking for solution to an issue. In the course of Iran’s nuclear file, for instance, they resort to violent proposals or incite other parts to take a hostile attitude towards Iran. Violence is integrated in Mojahedin’s literature and it can be classified as:
– Transparent violence: armed struggle and terrorist operation.
– Advocating violence: inciting others to resort to violent ways to solve a problem.
– Provoking violence: coercing others to take violent reactions.
– Utilizing violence: self-destruction as a leverage of pressure or a moving element to stir sympathy.
The 17 June and its aftermath crystallize terrorism and violence in their full term. The case has to be studied in full details.
