1- Iran raps France, Germany for hosting MKO group
Iran’s human rights chief has strongly criticized two French and German rights officials for their calls to release a convicted prisoner in Iran.

2- Iran exposes unsympathetic European diplomats over fake human rights concerns
Iran has slammed insincere Western concerns over human rights issues, saying murderers of Iranian people are roaming freely in Europe while European officials remain silent.
In a tweet, Kazem Gharibabadi, secretary of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights and the Judiciary chief’s deputy for international affairs, strongly criticized two European diplomats after they called for the release of a convicted prisoner in Iran.
Earlier, the German Commissioner for Human Rights Luise Amtsberg and the French Ambassador for Human Rights Delphine Borione had denounced what they called the unfair sentencing of Iranian prisoner Narges Mohammadi and called for her immediate release.
“If these two French and German officials feel a concern for human rights, instead of defending a convict, they should adopt a stance on the victims of Monafeqin (hypocrites) in Iran who are operating freely in their countries,” Gharibabadi tweeted, responding to the European diplomats’ remarks.
Monafeqin is the sobriquet used to describe the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), a terrorist group vehemently detested in Iran due to its history of atrocities against the Iranian nation, including its liaison with former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during the war he waged against Iran in the 1980s.
Gharibabadi hit out at Amtsberg for turning a blind eye to the case of Kazem Darabi, who has been deprived of visiting his paralyzed daughter in Germany since he was deported to Iran in 2007 after spending 15 years behind bars over his alleged role in assassinations that took place in 1992.
“By the way, what’s the stance of the German commissioner on Kazerm Darabi being deprived of visiting his daughter in Germany for 15 years?” he asked.
pic.twitter.com/ZENjKVG6y6
— Gharibabadi (@Gharibabadi) January 30, 2022
Gharibabadi separately dismissed recent statements made by the French Foreign Ministry threatening to exert pressure on Iran to secure release of two convicts.
He said, “The difference between Iran and France is that we deal with criminals according to the laws, but France protects and welcomes criminals and terrorists. The fact that some members of the MKO terrorist group are freely and actively present in this country confirms this point.”
He also made clear that a country that uses its citizens to spy on other nations and later threatens to exert pressure to secure their release “has no right to pretend to be righteous.”
The senior Iranian rights official added that France has to be held accountable before the Iranian nation due to its numerous violations of their rights, especially in the case of the MKO group, stressing that Paris is in no position to dictate its will to the Iranian judicial system.
The MKO has conducted numerous assassinations and bombings against Iranian statesmen and civilians since the 1979 victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution. Its members fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq, where they enjoyed backing from former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist assaults since the Islamic Revolution, about 12,000 fell victim to the MKO’s acts of terror.
The anti-Iran cult was on the US government’s list of terrorist organizations until 2012. Major European countries, including France, have also removed it from their blacklists.
A few years ago, the MKO elements were relocated from their Camp Ashraf in Iraq’s Diyala Province to Camp Hurriyet (Camp Liberty), a former US military base in Baghdad, and later sent to Albania.
The MKO terrorists enjoy freedom of activity in the US and Europe and even hold regular meetings in which European and American officials make speeches.

HR council head: Iran has fallen victim to inhuman sanctions, terrorism
TEHRAN, Nov. 11 (MNA) – Secretary of Iranian Judiciary’s Human Rights Council Kazem Gharibabadi has lambasted the European countries for supporting the MKO as well as siding with the US sanctions against Tehran while claiming to be HR defenders.
“In the meeting of diplomatic community with the Judiciary Head, I raised a point: Iran is a victim of terrorism, 17000 of innocent people have been martyred by MKO terrorist group which is freely moving in European safe heavens, 5 nuclear scientists have been assassinated,” Vice-President of Iran’s Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary General of the I.R of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi tweeted on Thursday.

“Iran’s big hero to combat terrorism was martyred by the U.S regime, Iran is under inhumane U.S sanctions. Nevertheless, those who have closed their eyes on these atrocities or supporting them are seen as hr defenders, while Iran is being accused of human rights violations.!” he said on his second post on his Twitter page.
These tweets by the Iranian human rights official come a few days after on Tuesday in a meeting with the ambassadors of more than 65 countries and also the heads of international organizations residing in Tehran he pointed to the unilateral sanctions, terrorism and some political approaches as obstacles and restrictions as obstacles that hindering the Islamic Republic of Iran’s efforts in the field of human rights.
“We expect all countries to counter the adoption the politically motivated approaches by some countries in the field of human rights,” Gharibabadi said, adding that unilateral sanctions are illegal and contrary to international law and the UN Charter.
Silence of so-called human rights protectors against gross violations by Israel, has given this regime the audacity to ridicule the HRC by tearing up its President' report to the UNGA. The report reflects also the results of the Investigation Commission,1

Envoy Rejects UN Human Rights Rapporteur’s Report on Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian deputy ambassador to the United Nations criticized the UN special rapporteur for resorting to false information provided by terrorist groups as a source to compile his latest report on the situation of human rights in Iran.
Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Zahra Ershadi delivered a speech to the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly focusing on “item 74: Report of the Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran”, held on Monday.
In her speech, Ershadi rejected the country-specific resolutions as antithetical to the cause of human rights and counter-productive for its promotion.
What follows is the text of her speech:
“The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects country-specific resolutions as antithetical to the cause of human rights and counter-productive for its promotion. It only contributes to scapegoating the targeted country at the price of sidelining meaningful interaction and dialogue on human rights. The appointment of a special rapporteur for Iran is an unjust and politically-motivated scheme initiated by the West, especially Canada, in pursuance of its adversarial attitude against our nation. As such, the resolution and its ensuing mandate have only contributed to accumulation of disparaging clichés and malign stereotypes against Iran.
Underneath the Iranian soil lie the bodies of thousands of those who have sacrificed their precious lives to defend our nation and people during the imposed Saddam Hussein’s war against Iran whose financial resources, chemical weapons, tanks, aircrafts and even bullets were supplied by the same Western countries whose representatives are present in this session. But when you dig the grounds in Canada, you discover the remains of thousands of indigenous children who were sexually abused, killed and dumped in mass graves. How many statements have so far been delivered by the representatives of the countries criticizing my country about the vicious campaign of genocide in Canada? NONE. The West is instead leaving no stone unturned to continue the bitter legacy of Canada’s forced-assimilation, and acclimatize our high and decent human rights standards to those of itself. Rest assured, that is not going to happen.
Iran is determined to continue safeguarding its people against the threat of violent extremism and terrorism, rampant in our region principally due to addictive interventions, occupation and aggression by the United States and its allies and clients. It is a bitter irony, if not hypocritical, to pretend to care for human rights of the Iranians and feel relaxed and remain acquiescence vis-a-vis the United States’ unlawful and inhumane unilateral coercive measures, which are purposely attuned to take the heaviest toll on innocent children, women and men in need of medicine and medical care. The Special Rapporteur is also hesitant to condemn or even express concerns about unlawful and inhumane unilateral coercive measures.
Protection and promotion of human rights should be a common cause for all of us. However, the abuse of human rights mechanisms to selectively harass countries enjoying constant progress in the field of human rights, compromises the sense of solidarity and strips this lofty cause of its humane meaning. While we have every reason to genuinely question the existence of any good face in appointing a special rapporteur for Iran’s human rights, we would not be distracted from serving our people by further deepening our truly democratic system of governance and by institutionalizing our accomplishments in terms of protection and promotion of human rights of our citizens.
We even have not shied away from talking frankly to the Special Rapporteur himself about the structural deficiencies and misleading contents of his report. We have also shared with him some of methodological deficits which are inconsistent with Resolution 5/2 on code of conduct for special procedure mandate-holders of the Human Rights Council as well as false allegations, absurd disinformation and hyperbolic exaggerations imported to his flawed report. We clarified to him for instance that capital punishment is only for the most serious crimes and is imposed through a very highly considered due process in accordance with laws. We have clarified to him that titles such as human rights defenders or dual nationality cannot bring impunity for the alleged offenders. Our endeavors and comments to enlighten the Special Rapporteur have fallen on deaf ears. Isn’t it because he wants to appease the so-called champions of human rights?
We regret that one of the main sources of the Special Rapporteur continues to be the same terrorist groups which have long been laundered by their supporters and portrayed as opposition and so-called human rights defenders. Making use of unofficial, biased vague sources coming from sworn enemies, and taking a selective approach towards human rights achievements in the Islamic Republic of Iran put a serious question mark over the validity and reliability of such a report. It is repugnant to glorify terrorists whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent citizens.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its genuine interaction with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and other competent UN human rights mechanisms as well as other states to collaborate for the protection and promotion of human rights. The Islamic Republic of Iran is of the view that dialogue and cooperation based upon mutual respect and on an equal footing is the only way which guarantees promotion and protection of human rights at the international level. Such a mandate and report in question are only meant to weaponize human rights against certain countries.”
