1- Iranian ambassador strongly condemns report by some British MPs

Tehran Times

TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador to London has censured a report by a number of British parliamentarians, saying it backs regime change in Iran through “maximum pressure” campaign introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Writing on his Twitter account on Wednesday, Hamid Baeidinejad said the architect of the “maximum pressure” strategy who was defeated in the November election and is being driven out of the White House should serve as a lesson for them.

“We condemn in its strongest term a report issued on developments regarding Iran by a few UK MPs. This report is not more than advocating regime change through maximum pressure policy against Iran, while the main architect of this failed policy is driven out of the White House,” Baeidinejad tweeted.

The tweet by the ambassador came after the MPs said the British government should designate Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

According to Independent, the House of Commons foreign affairs committee argued in the report that the influential branch of the Iranian military should face sanctions.

Referring to the IRGC, committee chairman Tom Tugendhat claimed, “The group’s destructive philosophy and violence within Iran and across the region make a compelling case for it to be singled out for sanction.”

The committee’s report also said the UK government should work with the U.S. to encourage Iran to play a “positive, constructive and predictable role” as a regional power.

They said the UK’s strategy should send a clear message that “Iran’s destabilizing activities are unacceptable because they adversely impact the region and its people, but that, when the time comes, the door is open for diplomacy.”

2- Iran Blasts UK Parliamentary Committee for Hostile Report

Tasnim News

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Embassy in London condemned a report that a committee of the UK Parliament has published about relationship with Tehran.
In a post on his Twitter account on Wednesday, Iranian Ambassador to the UK Hamid Baeidinejad denounced the report published by the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee about Iran.

“We condemn in its strongest term a report issued on developments regarding Iran by a few UK MPs. This report is not more than advocating regime change through maximum pressure policy against Iran, while the main architect of this failed policy is driven out of the White House,” the Iranian ambassador said, referring to the termination of US President Donald Trump’s tenure.

In two other posts in the Persian language, Baeidinejad said the report published by the committee is not a measure approved or a conclusion endorsed by the UK Parliament.

The report is not going to turn into a parliamentary measure either, he added.

“This report has been provided within a very limited group with an absolutely hostile approach and on the basis of analyses and recommendations from the Zionists and Munafeqin (Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization terrorists) to make the last impacts on the future developments,” the envoy said.

The ambassador also slammed Chair of the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Tom Tugendhat, who has coordinated the preparation of the report, for working as the mouthpiece of the MKO and the hostile groups seeking to topple the Islamic Republic.

“This report has no legitimacy and value,” the envoy added, noting that the Iranian Embassy has sent an official note of protest to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and has strongly condemned the preparation of such report by a number of hardline British MPs.

The UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee report entitled ‘No prosperity without justice: the UK’s relationship with Iran’ has called on the UK government to foster a long-term, international response to addresses what it called Iran’s wider destabilizing activities.

3- Walk in EU corridors to find terrorists

Mehr News

TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (MNA) – The head of the Iranian Judiciary’s High Council for Human Rights has strongly condemned the resolution adopted by the European Union against Iran.
“Those who have hampered the access of innocent children to medicine are not competent to even talk about rights of animals, let alone humans,” Ali Bagheri-Kani said in a live interview with a radio station on Friday.

The remarks come as the European Union adopted a so-called human rights resolution on Thursday following the execution of Ruhollah Zam.

European countries are now complicit in murdering tens of Iranian children who failed to access medicine due to the West’s sanctions, he said.

The Europeans have gone so far as to give Swedish citizenship to a criminal who, in addition to spying, played an effective role in assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists, the official added.

Referring to the European Parliament’s request to Iran to receive a special rapporteur, he said “It is not necessary to travel to Iran to observe human rights violations. It is enough to walk in the corridors of the European Parliament to see terrorists whose hands are stained with the blood of 17,000 innocent Iranian nationals.”

“Manufacturers and sellers of chemical weapons to dictator Saddam Hussein, who killed thousands of young Iranians, are still beside you, committing crimes against the Iranian people from Europe. Please look around to see the real violators of the rights of the Iranian people,” he added.

4- EU’s anti-Iran resolution against intl. laws: Iranian parliament

IRNA

Tehran, Dec 20, IRNA – The Iranian Parliament has issued a statement to condemn a recent anti-Iran human rights resolution by the European Union, criticizing the European Parliament’s support for US economic terrorism against the Iranians.

The Human Rights Committee of the Majlis (the Iranian parliament), chaired by Zohreh Elahyan, addressed the Human Rights Committee of the European Parliament, saying that the anti-Iran resolution made the Iranian lawmakers completely surprised and dissatisfied.
As the European Parliament is well aware, every country has the legitimate right to formulate and implement criminal laws; so, Iran’s judiciary branch holds fair trials based on respecting the rights of the suspects, the statement read.

According to the statement, it is very odd that the European body ignored the principle of relationships between parliaments and issued an anti-human rights resolution against Iran based on political motivations, which is contrary to international law in the eyes of independent countries.
Condemning the selective approach to human rights by the European parliament, the Iranian legislators warned that the issuance of the resolution shows Europeans support US-imposed unilateral sanctions on the great nation of Iran, which is considered a disgraceful act.

Nobody Can Be “Comfortable” With Regime Change Involving MEK

The Iranian lawmakers also urged Europe to stop providing the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist group with a safe haven in the heart of the green continent
The statement further recommended the members of the European Parliament to examine the systematic violation of the rights of the Muslim and other minorities in their own countries.

The Iranian parliament repeated its full support for the legal proceedings carried out by the judiciary branch in the Islamic country, stressing that Iran reserves the right to retaliate such an interfering action.

Mehr News, Tehran, January 12 2019

TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s permanent envoy to Vienna-based intl. organizations, Kazem Gharibabadi said that Europe has turned into a paradise and safe haven for MKO (Mujahedeen Khalq Organization) and terrorists who have assassinated thousands of Iranian citizens.

He reiterated, “as Europe has turned into a safe paradise for MKO and other terrorist groups, Iran’s criticism of sanctions imposed against the country is a completely unacceptable and deviational move in its responsibility.”

According to the unfounded and baseless claims, Danish government recently imposed sanctions on one Iranian institution and two entities, the issue of which was strongly condemned by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, he observed.

Some European countries including Denmark, the Netherlands and France harboured terrorist groups and helped former Iraqi President Saddam Hussain for committing heinous crimes against Iraqi Kurds, he emphasised.

In this regard, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi strongly condemned EU act yesterday and said, “Islamic Republic of Iran will adopt appropriate measure in response to this move within the framework of mutual action.”

Iran urges Netherlands to protect diplomats’ security after attack by Al-Ahvaziya grou

TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador to The Hague has called on high-ranking Dutch officials to preserve the security of Iranian diplomats and Tehran’s embassy in the European country after Iran’s embassy building came under attack on Wednesday.

The call by Alireza Jahangiri came after supporters of a terrorist group called Al-Ahvaziya attacked the Iranian embassy in The Hague on Wednesday afternoon.

The attackers gathered in front of the embassy building and chanted anti-Iran slogans and threw rocks and bottles. They also tried to climb the adjacent embassy building but were immediately arrested by the Dutch police.

According to one of the embassy diplomats, none of the embassy staff was hurt during the incident.

The Dutch authorities regretted the attack and emphasised the necessity to safeguard the security of the representative offices and embassy staff.

Al-Ahvaziya is the same terrorist group that conducted a terrorist attack on a military parade in Ahvaz, capital of southwestern Khuzestan province, on September 22 while Iran was marking the start of the Sacred Defence Week against the Saddam invading Army. Dozens of civilians, including a 4-year old boy, were among those killed in the terrorist attack.

In a tweet on Thursday, Jahangiri wrote, “While Westerners act on the basis of unproven probabilities & fictitious assumptions, they easily ignore the obvious realities. The fact is EU hosts terrorist groups leaving them free for their illegitimate activities but acts against Iran on false assumptions & unapproved stories.”

The anti-Iran Mujahedin terrorist group (MKO/MEK) are also free in Europe. Last summer, they held their held their annual forum in Paris with the presence of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, calling for regime change in Iran.

“While Westerners act on the basis of unproven probabilities & fictitious assumptions, they easily ignore the obvious realities,”

Iran’s ambassador to The Hague says.

In a hostile move on Wednesday, the European Council said that it had added two Iranian individuals and the Directorate for Internal Security of the Iranian Intelligence Ministry to the EU’s “terrorist list” and froze their funds and other financial assets.

“These listings have been adopted by the Council as part of its response to recent foiled attacks on the European soil,” it added.

On Tuesday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif slammed the EU sanctions and said they would “not absolve Europe of responsibility for harboring terrorists.”

Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi also called the EU’s blacklist decision “irrational” and “odd” and said the move showed the European countries’ “dishonesty” in fighting terror.

The European Council press release came one day after Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen said that the EU had agreed to enact sanctions against “an Iranian Intelligence Service for its assassination plots on European soil.”

Top Dutch diplomat Stef Blok also claimed that his country’s secret service had “strong indications” that Iran was involved in the assassination of two Dutch nationals in 2015 and in 2017.

The remarks followed claims by French and Belgian police officials that they had disrupted a plot to conduct a bomb attack on an MKO meeting in Paris last June attended by Giuliani, and several former European and Arab ministers.

The MKO has carried out numerous attacks against Iranian civilians and officials over the past four decades and is listed as a terrorist organisation by much of the international community. Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist assaults since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, about 12,000 have fallen victim to MKO’s acts of terror.

France and Denmark issued statements last October and November, respectively, saying they suspected a so-called Iranian government intelligence unit pursued killing plots on their territories.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that the regime had been behind Europe’s row with Iran over murder plot allegations.

Tehran strongly denied any involvement in the purported plots, saying the accusations were merely intended to damage EU-Iran relations amid efforts to save the 2015 nuclear agreement following Washington’s withdrawal.

Slamming bans, Zarif says accusing Iran won’t absolve EU responsibility for housing terrorists

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has lambasted the European Union (EU) for harbouring notorious MKO terrorists, warning that “accusing” Iran and imposing sanctions against the Islamic Republic will not “absolve” Europe of responsibility for housing members of the terror outfit.

Iran’s top diplomat made the remarks on Tuesday, hours after the customs union froze the assets of an Iranian intelligence unit and two of its staff over terror charges. It was the first time the EU imposed sanctions on Iran since lifting an array of embargoes following Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.

“Europeans, incl Denmark, Holland & France, harbor MEK—who killed 12000 Iranians & abetted Saddam’s crimes against Iraqi Kurds—as well as other terrorists staging murder of innocent Iranians from Europe. Accusing Iran won’t absolve Europe of responsibility for harboring terrorists,” Zarif said in a post on his official Twitter account.

The Iranian foreign minister referred to the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MEK or MKO), a terrorist group which is detested for collaborating with the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during his war on Iran in the 1980s and killing thousands of Iranians in a violent campaign of assassinations and bombings, particularly in those years.

Earlier on Tuesday, Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen said in a tweet that the “EU just agreed to enact sanctions against an Iranian Intelligence Service for its assassination plots on European soil.”

He further described the step taken by the union as a “strong signal from the EU that we will not accept such behavior in Europe.”

Also on Tuesday, the Netherlands government accused Tehran of hatching plots and involvement in two killings in 2015 and 2017, sending a letter, signed by the foreign and interior ministers,  to the Dutch parliament to warn of further economic embargos if Tehran did not cooperate with European probes.

The letter said representatives from Britain, France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium had met Iranian officials to convey “their serious concerns regarding Iran’s probable involvement in these hostile acts on EU territory,” Reuters reported.

“Iran was informed that involvement in such matters is entirely unacceptable and must be stopped immediately … further sanctions cannot be ruled out,” the letter said.

The provocative move by the European bloc follows last year’s statements by Denmark and France that they suspected a so-called Iranian government intelligence unit pursued killing plots on their territories. Copenhagen at the time sought an EU-wide response.

Tehran has time and again strongly denied any involvement in the purported plots, saying the accusations were merely intended to damage EU-Iran relations. Iran also stresses that it is a victim of terrorism, particularly inflicted by the MKO outfit, whose members largely live freely in the EU countries.

The MKO was once listed as a terrorist organization in the US and Europe and is still widely viewed as a Marxist cult built around the personality of its leader, Maryam Rajavi.

Some of its uncouth practices include forcing the group’s male members to divorce their wives and have them married to Rajavi’s husband Massoud.

The terrorist group is also known for its extremely suppressive control over members in its camps where access to the Internet and other information sources is prohibited.

Iranian families of terror victims condemn Denmark’s support for terrorists

TEHRAN – Iranian families of terror victims denounced Danish government’s support for terrorist and separatist groups in an open letter to the Ambassador of Denmark in Tehran.

Danish government’s sheltering of some anti-Iran terrorist groups including Khuzestan separatists was strongly condemned in this letter.

Read the full text of the letter below:
December 18, 2018
His Excellency Ambassador Danny Annan,
The Embassy of Denmark,
Your Excellency,

On behalf of families of Iranian victims of terrorism, we are writing to you on the occasion of the dreadful terrorist attack in Ahvaz on September 22, 2018, which led to the death and injury of nearly 100 Iranian citizens.

Since the victory of the Iranian Revolution in 1979, our country has been a victim of high volume of subversive acts and terrorist operations in which more than 17,000 citizens have been killed and thousands of others have faced permanent injury, in addition to the destruction of the country’s infrastructure.

With the government’s all-round combat with terrorist groups in the early years after the Revolution, part of them were destroyed and another part were weakened. So, with the support from some regional and Western governments, these groups began relocation of their headquarters to those counties and from there, they started planning to commit terrorist operations in our country; an action that unfortunately still continues.

Among the European countries that put their territories at the disposal of these violent and terrorist groups, Denmark is also existed.

Dear Honorable Ambassador,

Unfortunately, your country has a bad record in harbouring Iranian terrorists, dating back to a few decades ago when you sheltered the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, a.k.a MEK, NCRI, PMOI, etc.), a group that was designated as a terrorist organization by some Western countries and the European Union. To this, one could add the hosting of Khuzestan’s separatist groups.

In addition to separatist acts, these criminal groups have also carried out massive terrorist operations; a measure that further clarifies the depth of the catastrophe of Copenhagen’s support for them.

The attack on the Iranian Embassy in London and the hostage taking of embassy staff; bombings in Ahvaz, Abadan and Dezful Governorates; bombings in Ahvaz’s Management and Planning Organization; bombings in Housing and Urban Development Organization of ; bombing Sugarcane Development Company of Khuzestan; Explosion of Abadan oil pipelines; bombing of the Khuzestan Natural Resources Directorate; bombing in Naderi avenue of Ahvaz; bombing of Saman Bank, Kian Pars district of Ahvaz; and armed attack on the tourist buses in Khouzestan province named ‘Rahyane Noor’, are parts of the terrorist crimes of separatist groups living in Denmark such as the ” Harakat al-Nazal al-Arabi li-Tahrir al-Ahwaz”.

To these you should add meetings and planning measures for sabotage and assassination inside Iran, the last of which, till this moment, has been the above-mentioned terrorist attack in Ahvaz on September 22, 2018, which these groups have claimed responsibility for.
Clearly without the Danish support for these groups, they could never freely operate and engage in planning terrorist and subversive acts. Therefore, this is the right of families of people who have fallen victim to the terror attacks and violence carried out by these groups, to point the finger at the Danish government.

Regardless of the terrorist history of these groups, your country has put its territory at the disposal of them; an issue that implies Denmark’s support for their actions in the killing of hundreds of Iranian citizens.

Your Excellency,

Our question to you is that if the terrorist attack on the parade of the armed forces of Iran on September 22 was carried out against the citizens of your country, what kind of actions would you put into your agenda? Would you still deal with the elements of that terrorist group with negligence? Basically, what types of actions would your government put on its agenda? Public opinion in Iran is looking forward to hearing your answer.

Dear Mr. Ambassador,

Families of victims of terror attacks committed by terrorist groups residing in Denmark, especially the survivors of the recent incident in Ahvaz, with the help of a number of lawyers, have filed lawsuits against the perpetrators of the incident, and the relating judicial process will begin shortly.

The Iranian people have always sympathized with European citizens in all the terrorist incidents that have taken place in Europe by extremist terrorist nodes in recent years and have condemned terrorism anywhere in the world to anyone. Mutually, they expect your government to respond to this sympathy with the flower branch, not with the support of the terrorists.

Your Excellency,

In the end, we would like to remind you that the failure of the European countries to deal seriously with the ISIL terrorists has led to a large number of terrorist operations in European cities. Terrorism knows neither ideology nor geography. The terrorists who attack innocent people with their psychological problems have the capability to use them anywhere in the world. Therefore, we recommend that you learn from the experience of ISIS operations in Europe and prevent these terror groups from operating in your country.

Sincerely yours,
Habilian Association (Families of Iranian victims of terrorism)

Photo Exhibition Press Club, Brussels – International Terrorism Mojahedin Khalq (MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult)

A Photo Exhibition was held at the Press Club in Brussels  between 3 – 7 December, 2018. The exhibition was formally opened by a panel of speakers who outlined the content and purpose of the photo exhibition. The exhibition aims to enlighten reporters and media to the dangerous consequences of blind support for the MEK. Three of the participants gave interviews in English afterwards in which they explained why the MEK is a danger to Europe and that although they joined MEK to fight for freedom and democracy in Iran, they soon discovered this was a lie, but were trapped inside the MEK by imprisonment and torture.

Anne Khodabandeh, Open Minds De-Radicalization Consultant placed the MEK’s current survival in the context of Neoconservative support. This means that in spite of well documented severe human rights violations, the MEK’s ‘regime change’ narrative is supported by paid advocates. The danger however is that the MEK will escalate their false flag ops in Europe which are blamed on Iran, only this time Europeans may be killed.

Reza Jabelli, Service Etat Civil et Population – Aawa Association, related his history with the MEK from his teenage years to the time he managed to escape the cult in Iraq when the US army guarded the MEK camp. He said that when he joined the MEK he believed it was fighting for freedom and democracy. When he discovered this was a lie, the MEK held him captive for many years, sometimes in solitary confinement, in an attempt to force him to change his mind. Jabelli said that when Maryam Rajavi was arrested by French counter terrorism police in Paris in 2003, she ordered her followers to set fire to themselves. This example shows that the MEK can pose a serious threat to peace and security in Europe because the group has not given up its belief in violence and terrorism.

Edvard Termador introduced himself as an Armenian-Iranian and a Christian. He explained how he had been a Prisoner of War in Iraq for nine years as a result of the Iran-Iraq war. Although he had the opportunity to return to Iran at the end of the war, he chose to join the MEK because he believed they would bring freedom and democracy to Iran. When he realised this was a deception, he was imprisoned inside MEK camps before being handed over to the Abu Ghraib political prison of Saddam Hussein. He warned against believing the MEK’s false presentations of democracy.
